Un Venerdì sera dedicato alla sicurezza digitale: il successo del webinar con il Prof. Simone Palazzo
Venerdì 6 febbraio, dalle 19:00 alle 20:30, abbiamo vissuto una serata diversa dal solito, ma estremamente fruttuosa. Grazie al webinar sulla eSafety condotto dal Prof. Simone Palazzo, Professore Associato presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria Informatica di Catania, abbiamo capito che costruire un futuro digitale sicuro inizia dalla consapevolezza e da scelte responsabili.
L’intervento del Prof. Palazzo è stato molto apprezzato per la sua straordinaria chiarezza espositiva e per la capacità di rendere semplici concetti complessi. Abbiamo riflettuto sulla permanenza della nostra “impronta digitale” (il web non dimentica!) e imparato strategie pratiche, come l’uso di password lunghe composte da parole casuali, spesso più sicure di quelle brevi e complicate.
L’atmosfera è stata calda e amichevole, permettendo a studenti, genitori e insegnanti di interagire senza imbarazzo. È stato emozionante vedere la partecipazione attiva dei genitori: il loro supporto è prezioso e questo webinar ha offerto anche a loro strumenti fondamentali.
Grazie di cuore al Prof. Palazzo per la sua disponibilità e per aver risposto a ogni domanda con grande generosità.

Building a Safer Digital Future: Highlights from our Webinar with Assoc. Prof. Simone Palazzo
This past Friday, February 6th, we enjoyed an evening that was as unique as it was productive. During our eSafety webinar, Assoc. Prof. Simone Palazzo from the Faculty of Computer Engineering in Catania guided us through the essentials of staying safe online.
The session was a huge success, and Prof. Palazzo’s contribution was highly valued for its clarity, depth of information, and engaging style. We learned that a safe digital future starts with awareness—especially the realization that “the internet never forgets.” From practical tips, like creating long passwords using random words, to understanding the permanence of our digital footprint, the information shared was truly “spot-on.”
The warm and friendly atmosphere made it easy for students, parents, and teachers to ask questions and share comments freely. We were particularly moved by the strong presence of parents; their involvement is vital, and they walked away with many beneficial insights.
A huge thank you to Assoc. Prof. Simone Palazzo for his expertise and his kindness in addressing all our curiosities. It was an enriching experience for everyone involved!
